Creditron Partners with System Innovators to Deliver Online Cashiering Solution

A large Midwest Utility to Implement Integrated Payments Processing and Cashiering Solution

TORONTO, ON, July 20, 2009 – Creditron today announced a partnership with System Innovators, Inc. to integrate its online cashiering solution with Creditron’s ItemAge Express.  System Innovators provides advanced cashiering and collections systems and support for government and utility clients worldwide.

An energy company serving 3.8 million customers from the Gulf Coast through the Midwest to New England, will be the first Creditron customer to implement the integrated payments processing and cashiering solution.  The utility initially will install System Innovators' online retail teller/cashiering technology at 13 workstations.

“The payments space is becoming more challenging every day.  Payments processors are facing top and bottom-line cost pressure, a relentless stream of regulations, and new payment technologies on the horizon,” said Creditron President Wally Vogel.  “There isn’t a magic bullet for all of these problems.  But Creditron’s partnership with System Innovators will provide a flexible cashiering solution to streamline processing workflows.”

Creditron will integrate System Innovators’ browser-based iNovah cashiering solution into its ItemAge Express platform.  Designed to manage payment collection activities from cashier stations, iNovah features a centralized on-premises database, a comprehensive toolset for collecting, reporting, managing and auditing over the counter revenue data, a highly secure and robust system architecture, and support for industry standard hardware and software.

iNovah handles a wide range of over the counter transaction activities, including accepting cash, checks and credit cards, suspending or resuming payments, voiding payments, and correcting payments.  The solution works in either an online or off-line mode.  What’s more, if connectivity fails, iNovah can still process over the counter transactions; once connectivity is restored, off-line payments are automatically sent to the system’s central database.

iNovah also features robust reporting.  The solution comes with over 150 standard reports, and as more are developed, they are made available to all system users.  Authorized users can display and print reports from any PC with a Web browser.  And reports can be scheduled to automatically run at pre-set times and dates, and distributed via e-mail to designated users.
