Creditron Awarded Contract from the Fayette County Water System for Image-based Payments Processing Solution
TORONTO, ON, March 23, 2009 – Creditron today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Fayette County Water System (GA) for an image-based payments processing solution, including software, hardware, services and support.
The Fayette County Water System is a part of the Fayette County government, serving Tyrone, Peachtree City, and Woolsey, parts of Fayetteville and Brooks, and part of the unincorporated county. The water system also serves as a backup water supply for Fayetteville and Brooks.
Fayette County Water System chose Creditron after an extensive evaluation of available solutions. The water system’s solution will include Creditron’s flagship ItemAge Express payments processing platform, including components for image archive and retrieval, courtesy and legal amount recognition (CAR/LAR), hot files for flagged customer accounts, and host uploads.
The solution will run on an iTRAN 180e document sorter from NCR Corporation.
With ItemAge Express, the Fayette County Water System virtually eliminated the pre-sorting of mail, which was required for the read-and-key and power-encode modes of the water system’s previous remittance processing solution. This also reduces the time required to open mail and process payments. In addition, the hot files functionality provided by ItemAge Express automatically prevents the processing of checks from customers in a “Cash Payment Only” status. ItemAge Express also is easier to use than the water system’s previous system: operators were trained in just a few days and were processing live payments on the second day of the system implementation.
“This agreement is further proof that Creditron continues to be a trusted partner that understands how technology can help government entities achieve their business objectives,” said Doug Myers, vice president, sales and business development, Creditron. “With ItemAge Express, the Fayette County Water System will be able to lower costs, increase efficiency, and accelerate processing windows. This solution provides the right infrastructure to meet customer needs today and into the future.”
